History
   
1984 Creation of OXYMETAL in Bordeaux, whose main activity is oxycutting.

1991 Alliance with the USINOR group, and takeover of 7 oxycutting workshops in France.

1993 Break-up of the alliance with USINOR. OXYMETAL concentrates on Bordeaux and reduces the workforce from 250 to 70            employees. Laser work is rationalized in the LASER TECHNIQUES subsidiary in Bordeaux, Limoges and Nantes.

1998 Introduction to the second Exchange Market. The workforce is now 368.

1999 Takeover of the Lorraine group LASER INDUSTRIE - MAUCHOFFE. Sites created at Bouxwiller and Lyon Corbas.

2001 Sites created in Bègles and Arras.


2003 Two oxycutting companies, ORN’OXYCOUPAGE and FLAGERBA DECOUPE, purchased from ARCELOR.  Creation  of a           mechanical welding and machining production centre, by acquisition or creation of different subsidiaries: SOUDALP,           SOUDACIER, ASPB and YUMBO. Creation of a new laser cutting site near Évreux.

2004 Closure of the Bouxwiller and Conflans-Ste-Honorine sites. Sale of the BORDEAUX premises and transfer of production            and Head Office to new premises.

2005 Capital increased by 3.8 M€. Creation of the OXYMETAL TUNISIE subsidiary.

2006 Takeover of the OXYNORD group and creation of OXYMETAL BELGIUM. Takeover of the ACIER SOUDE group.
          Creation of the company METALGAN in partnership with the industrial group POULINA.
